Increasing the accessibility of Ph.D. programs in Clinical Psychology

I co-founded Getting into Grad School alongside friends and colleagues Rowan Hunt (Clinical Psychology Doctoral Intern, Western Psychiatric Hospital) and Missy Dreier (Clinical Psychology PhD Student, Rutgers University) to make the process of applying to Ph.D. programs in Clinical Psychology more transparent and accessible. Since its launch, the program has supported over 600 students from 57 countries by providing free mentorship, application resources, and interactive workshops. Participants receive guidance on every stage of the application cycle—from selecting programs to preparing personal statements, CVs, and interviews.

Our goal is to lower barriers for students who may not otherwise have access to mentorship in navigating graduate school admissions. In recognition of its impact, the initiative received the Distinguished Student Service Award from the Society of Clinical Psychology.
